If you seek a bit of rugged wildness, but without too much strenuous hiking, this might be the waterfall trip for you. Located in the Lake Linden area, Hungarian Falls consists of a series of four dramatic waterfalls of varying heights. Suggested time to see all the falls is about 45 minutes to one hour, but if you’d like to take your time and do some exploring or take a dip on a hot day, plan for a longer trip.
More details and directions available on the Keweenaw Land Trust website. Even though it’s not far off the beaten path, the Hungarian Falls Nature Area can be a bit tricky to find. Make sure to use the Keweenaw Land Trust directions!
