What is your favorite topic to learn about now?
Human and Animal Psychology

What project are you working on now that you are proud of?
I’m building a scale model of the bathhouse from “Spirited Away” using craft foam and balsa wood. Looking forward to using my new airbrush machine when it is ready to paint!

Do you have a favorite color? Which one(s)?
Lately I’m really into salmon color for some reason.

What’s your favorite thing about teaching?
Seeing how beautiful children’s minds are. If I can help a child learn in a way that they enjoy, it gives me hope that they will continue to be curious. I think if all adults were more curious than judgemental the world would be a really nice place.

If you could go to any place in the world, where would you go and what would you do?
I’d like to go to Mongolia or Tibet or someplace in Sub-saharan Africa and hope that the people there include me in their cultural and musical activities.

Everyone has one–what’s your hidden talent (something you’re great at that students may not know about)?
I can sightread anything on piano except Rachmaninoff.

What’s your favorite food?
Anything Chinese or Japanese or Italian–basically whatever is in front of me at the time if I dont have to clean up after!
