Foraging Adventure and Guided Nature Hike

July 17, 2023

Foraging is the practice of searching for wild edible food resources. On this tour we’ll find and identify a minimum of 10 types of plants that can commonly be foraged in the Keweenaw area.

Participants will:

  • learn about foraging ethics and safety
  • learn how to accurately recognize what they are foraging for
  • forage their own plants to take home to make their own herbal tea
  • use the art of sketching to get to know the plants they forage

All participants will receive a takeaway guidebook with plant identification and details from the class to use on their own future foraging adventures.

Monday, July 17th, 2023 | Noon – 3pm
Weather Permitting – will be canceled for rain.
