3-2-1, BLAST OFF!

Our final week journeying through space has launched! This week our focus is the GALAXY! Check out these 3 educational resources:

Galaxy Jar

Fun to make and mesmerizing to play with. Get the directions at the link!

Pinwheel Galaxy

The Pinwheel Galaxy is a spiral-shaped galaxy about 21 million light years away from Earth. Scientists call this swirling galaxy M101. We can’t visit it, so why not make our own replica?

Milky Way Facts

Our solar system, including our sun and all of the planets and objects within it, is just a small part of the Milky Way galaxy. All of the stars that we see in the night sky are part of our galaxy, and when you think of the number of them, it’s almost overwhelming. This resource explains it all.

Were you along with us for the ride to the Moon, Planets and other space destinations? Next week a new theme starts - come along for the ride by following us on Facebook and/or Instagram.
