Who: Kids ages 8-14. Space is limited and preference is given to residents of Ontonagon County.
What: Arts Day Camp — A collaboration between Ontonagon Artist Collective and Kaleidoscope. Young artists will get their creativity flowing with a variety of arts and crafts projects inspired by summer camp, nature, and the great outdoors.
When: August 7-11, 2023, 1:00-4:00 pm.
Where: 100 Cane Court, Ontonagon MI (Housing Commission community building). Activities will often take place outside, but we have indoor space available in case of inclement weather.
Cost: $25 per student.
Participation Details: Students should bring a refillable water bottle and come prepared for potentially messy art projects and for outdoor activities. A snack will be provided, but students are welcome to bring their own snack if they would like.
Projects: May include sun-dyed yarn, fabric collages, nature painting and drawing, fairy houses, rock painting, yarn art, sharpie “tie dye” and other sharpie art, bubble painting, yarn art decor, felted soap, and friendship bracelets. See below for project examples.
Registration: Opens May 1st for residents of Ontonagon County only. Opens to all June 1st. Registration deadline is August 4th.
